Privacy Policy

Mamelat is a marketplace for cars and property in Afghanistan, operated by Abobaker Mohammadi, trading as abobakerbuilds. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Phone number: to sign you in with a one-time SMS code. Other members never see it unless you choose to share it on a listing.
• Email address: if you choose email sign-in, to send your one-time sign-in code. It is not shown to other members.
• Name: your first and last name. Other members see only your first name and last initial.
• Address: province, district, and full address, required before you post. Only our moderators can see the full address; buyers see the district.
• Identity documents (optional): a photo of your Tazkira or passport and a selfie, if you ask for the Identity verified badge. They are stored privately and shown only to our moderators.
• Store details (optional): business name, license photo, shop address, logo, and hours, if you open a store. The license is private; the rest appears on your store page.
• Stores you follow.
• Listings you post: title, description, price, photos, and approximate location (province, district, neighborhood). Exact addresses are never published.
• Messages you exchange with other members inside the app.
• Saved listings and your language preference.
• Notification token for your device, if you allow notifications.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your data.

How we use it

To run the marketplace: sign-in, showing listings, delivering messages and notifications, and keeping members safe. Listings and messages are checked automatically, including by an AI service, to detect fraud and spam; suspicious content may be held for a person to review.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that run the service for us: hosting and database, photo storage, SMS and email delivery, Apple push notifications, and our AI safety provider. They may use the data only to provide their service to us. We disclose information to authorities only when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your listings, photos, identity documents, store, conversations, saved listings, and devices are deleted immediately; your phone number and email address are removed, and a record without your phone number, email address, name, or address is kept so past safety reports remain valid.

Your choices

You can edit or remove listings, block members, turn off notifications, and delete your account at any time in the app under Account → Delete account, or on our account deletion page.

Children

Mamelat is not intended for children under 16.
